A choreography developed after being inspired by the material works of Alberto Burri. Burri uses unconventional materials such as plastics, cracks, metals, intervening destructively and combining them violently to create ever-new compositions. Collages and assemblages made with fabrics, sack scraps, rusty nails and burnt wood. What is most fascinating is the way Burri draws his artistic energy from these materials, in all their unpredictable mutability.
Burri demonstrates how to intervene with matter by eliminating the fear of change. Just like with the Cretto of Gibellina, where he creates a new place, which in its new form is still in dialogue with the underlying layer, keeping the memory of the past alive. It is precisely this fluid memory, this sense of becoming, that the artist seeks to translate into the work FORMORIA.
